Versace FW15 MFW

The Versace Fall 2015 collection was full of bold colors- mint green, yellow, red.  The coats, jackets, & trenches were very fab and need-to-have: I want to see women in the suit-dresses.  The 70’s were represented in the bellbottoms, and I wasn’t alive so I don’t know if that’s why we’re getting the weird Gianni…

Costello Tagliapietra Fall 2015

The Costello Tagliapietra Fall Winter 2015 collection did take part in the 70’s trend, however, some of the overall outfits looked a little like Woody from Toy Story.  This woman is trying to be chic but knows nothing about fit, proportion, or silhouette.  Speaking of proportion and silhouette, looks like the light purple draped dress…

A sheer dress revealing a thong seems like it should catch Madonna’s eye.  A Fanny Messenger, a gorgeous grey pinstripe suit with long jacket, a sheer burnt copper dress with leather piping, unusual belting, and a unique off-the-shoulder necklace stood out of the collection.  Was there an ode to Stacy London of What Not to…

Victor Alfaro

Victor Alfaro likes his women BBW: the collection created disgustingly volumizing silhouettes with undesirable proportions.  I’m pretty sure that’s a blanket… In the voice of Mike Myers’ SNL jewish character, “This is neither fashion, nor design…speak amongst yourselves.” ^.^

ZAC Zac Posen

Zac Posen, known for his gorgeous gowns, has seemingly watered down his designs for ZAC Zac Posen to the extent that they look like horrible dresses from the dust-bunny ridden back of the plus-size clearance section.  Other than the jackets, there’s absolutely nothing memorable or outstanding about the collection.

Tess Giberson

It was wise to shoot the collection in front of huge prints, because it made the photos look picturesque.  A black and white background, pale models in light creams and whites…the mop coat.  There’s an elegance and androgyny to the layered looks which is reminiscent of Ann Demeulemeester’s collections. The sleeves ending in fingerless gloves…

Sachin & Babi

Kalidoscopic print knits and jackets, a sequin detailed mesh dress, and what looks like an itchy wool dress- seemingly as stiff as the mini skirts- stuck out of the Schin and Babi Fall Winter 2015 collection.  Again, good and bad- my critique would be the fabric selection- some of the pieces looked very stiff, over designed, unedited:…

Rebecca Taylor Fall ’15

While I absolutely hate the floral print, I do love the blue cropped jacket, pleated metallic skirt, and jackets.  There are many chic looks, and a few frumpy ones: the blue fringe jacket look, and the honky tonk dress with thigh-highs. …And he saw that it was good and bad.

Organic by John Patrick

A gorgeous green contrast-sleeve coat precedes horrible board-shorts…  There is a very masculine tone to the styling of this collection: a shirt dress with karate belt, peach pants and combat boots? Who is this girl?  Do we Love Lust or Run? She’s ready to fight one moment, then dresses for her day job: librarian …Run!…

Gary Graham

Gary Graham’s Fall/Winter 2015 collection was dark, chic, and a muddled mess: this bag lady likes to wear it all at once. The asymmetrical velvet top was draped and cut uniquely, and created an illusion with the skirt matching the background.  The evolution of his jackets, from the first looking more close to the 70’s…
