Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2021

Rebecca Minkoff Spring 2021 New York Fashion Week NYFW SS21

The star of the Rebecca Minkoff Spring/Summer 2021 New York Fashion Week collection was, of course, the bags! I once had a Convertible backpack like the one in this collection- it doubles as a hobo which is just so versatile it would be the envy of the gays. Here, it was paired with a leopard mask, striped sweater, moto jacket, skinny jeans and ankle boots. I love the multi-pocket side-studded handbag– it’s so simple but has just enough hardware and detail to still be understated with both flap and zipper closures- it really is styled best with this outfit because it brings out the micro-studs of the quilted leather jacket atop a hoodie dress, combat boots, and black and white mask. For some reason I just love the draw-string tote with striped strap and leather handles– even though it’s simple it looks like it would be a perfect lightweight nylon bag to grab and go. I do like the star-top-stitch detail of the flap-clsure handbag with grommet and chain strap/handles and dog-collar clasp, so you can wear it over-the-shoulder or or your arm by pulling that handle up from the spine.

The floral print jacket paired with matching mask, black polka-dot sheer chiffon blouse, and slim-fit high-waisted dark grey denim was like a nineties throwback, especially with that basic bag. My favorite print of all time is hounds-tooth, and dear Miss Rebecca Minkoff, that graphic sweater better come in a size and fit that’s unisex damn it! It’s paired with leather pants, ankle-boots, and a zebra lock-clasp flap-closure handbag. Lastly, the O-Ring detail square leather bucket bag is another show-stealer from the collection- I mean, I’d turn her into a backpack, a little clutch if I was doing a line development, ; ) How you doing Becky?
