I am Perry Uwanawich, a Fashion Designer, Fashion Illustrator, and Graphic Designer in New York City. My designs sold out in Nordstrom, Macy’s, and boutiques globally while I was a Junior in high school. I went on to design and launch a niche collection while enrolled full-time pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Marketing at the Wayne Huizenga School of Business and Entrepreneurship, called Deity Greek Wear. While earning a Certification in Fashion Design, Marketing, Public Relations, and Photography, I became the Parsons Teen Vogue Ambassador and created multimedia content for the course materials, such as how to sew a bag. I completed another Certification in Industrial Sewing and was placed at Amerisewn as an Industrial Sewing Machine Operator in a Rhode Island mill, working in production sewing for Military, Bags, and Medical Health industries. I have since completed several other certifcations and courses in fashion design and 3D Auto-CAD, including Browzwear 3D, and attended Parsons for CE in Technical Design, focusing on patternmaking and drafting, as well as garment construction.
I have been sewing and designing since childhood. I’ve worked in retail, acted as a graphic designer for multiple brands creating graphic prints for screen-printed garments, and am familiar and experienced with screen printing- spot color and 4-color process- Direct to Garment (DTG), Sublimation, Foils, and Embellishment Appliqués using Accurip software in conjunction with Adobe Creative Suite programs including Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, Premier Pro, InDesign, and Bridge. I make all of my own graphic prints for my brand, using a combination of hand-drawn and digital or vector artwork.
My marketing experience spans several industries, from Fashion to Media, Medical Billing to the Medical Field- I’ve created graphics, logos, digital and print media assets, designed and managed websites (HTML, XHTML, CSS, WordPress…), managed social media accounts, and created marketing campaigns and ad campaigns which drove significant traffic in the local and national markets for respective industries. I have experience with photo and video editing, re-touching, motion-graphics, and also worked as a freelance makeup artist working in Beauty as well as SFX makeup. I’ve directed models and photographers, makeup artists, lighting designers, to achieve the desired look for photo shoots. *Notably, Tiktok filter design generated 6.7M views and interaction with branded user-generated content, placing my brand in the 99th percentile for tiktok filters.
