In this tutorial, I’ll show you how to revamp an oversized t-shirt into a fitted muscle-tee. I’ve begun upcycling, fitting, and editing clothes that don’t fit me well: it’s a great alternative to throwing out the ill-fitting and buying unnecessarily- it’s also a way to be environmentally and fashion conscious given fast fashion piles up in landfills.
Optional- use a french curve to mark out the armhole after deciding how luch youre cutting off the sides.
Leave room for ease and your seam allowance: Use a Zig-Zag stitch or surger when seeing stretch. Note: I fold and cut layers together to achieve symmetry- I see people try to free-hand each side of a garment, which will result in assymetry.
