I feel like once Dundas left Pucci the prints and glamour left with him. Perhaps I haven’t fallen out of love with the brand, maybe I’m just more of a Dundas fan and loved what he brought to the house. I mean, now Cavalli is killing it so it just goes to show who’s who in fashion (Peter Dundas moved to Cavalli). I’ve been talking about how creative director switch ups can really impact a brand, specifically Gucci‘s last two swaps, and continued lackluster collections from Pucci support my claim.
It’s time for aerobics at the old folks home. Wait…Sia? Who is the Emilio Pucci Spring/Summer 2017 woman and where is she going? Jazzercise? A dancer from a time gone by? Bingo? Considering all of the shows, regardless of geography, are serving up on-trend, wearable high fashion and this is giving us senile clearance pile, I’d say Emilio Pucci SS17 is one of the worst collection’s we’ve seen yet.
