Prada Spring/Summer 2017 Menswear

The Prada Spring/Summer 2017 Menswear collection was, similarly to Gucci’s, inspired by travel, although with a more modern take- packers geared up in gray button ups, straight leg pants, turtle necks, and sandals.  Three quarter length coats, windbreakers- “one thing’s for certain Dorothy- we’re not in Kansas and this ain’t Glamping hunty” (No wonder she ran off with a scare crow and robot…the guys all looked like wander-lusting tourists).
So is a guy who dresses like a 90’s fashion victim turned survivor a dork or a hipster? In those sandals and that windbreaker? I think its safe to say that’s a dork, not a male model, not a fashionisto…  I feel like had it been edited to more of a fashion first, travel inspired- more like the last looks, it would’ve been more successful, wearable and salable to the fashion world (this is salable, but more at a sporting goods store than a boutique).  Do you disagree? Is this the epitome of fashion right now? Comment below.
