The Burberry London Fashion Week Men’s Fall/Winter 2016 collection started off with black and red plaid, red piping on collars and pockets, a deep wine fur jacket, the expected plethora of outerwear- coats, windbreakers, and jackets oh my. The signature plaid was scaled up and down, made bolder with contrast and softer in the tonal dark wool blazer, which was the only thing I’d wear.
Burberry’s FW16 LFW show was much less visually striking and fashion-forward than the exciting SS16 show, which featured gorgeous color combinations, androgynous fabric selection… even other seasons past have had much more enticing outerwear. It was sort of Americana-bland, and couldn’t really be differentiated from a brand like Ralph Lauren. Boo Burberry, boo.
