Valentino SS16

Valentino SS16 was a hard story to follow: what started out with simple black dresses quickly transformed into what felt like flipping through a world history book.  Roman and Greek influences, ethnic tribal, Incan princess: the Valentino Spring/Summer 2016 collection was rather confused and seemed like a cluttered stream of consciousness, as if one sketched as inspiration came from different times and cultures, and threw it all together.  Had it been properly edited, it would’ve been three separate collections: this sort of English refined look, that of the tribal Incan indigenous world traveler, and the Roman Xena warrior.  Regardless of this mind boggling mishmash, there were several stunningly gorgeous looks we will most definitely see grace red carpets on the backs of starlets.
