Costume National SS16 was confusingly dichotomous, as was Fendi. How can one collection be original, fashion-forward, and at the same time bland? The notch-lapel detail on the little black dress and original cut-away of the shoulders on the blazers were unique and interesting (I don’t like the shoulder detail, but it’s original nonetheless). The sheer black shirt was also beautiful. The rest of the collection was lackluster, plain, boring in comparison.
