Les Copains SS16: Mod Nod

Les Copains evoked the 70’s in a modern way, not using the exact dreaded yellows, for example, and creating modernized looks that nodded to the era I love to hate. See how the more abstract floral is sophisticated without the use of the ugly paisley in that oh-so-70’s yellow hue? The high boots are on-trend, and I loved the shoes version as well. Oh won’t you be my neighbor? The 70’s glamour was brought in that look with the coral pant. I loved the 3/4 length vests, the Asian kimono twist of the mod east meets west dresses. While I do love the hole fabrics and sheer beaded crop top, I felt as if they might as well be in a different collection. The only thing I mind, for some reason, is the contrasting of the knit with the satin on the asymmetrical dress, but otherwise felt this was a modern take on the 70’s with an elevated style and flawless execution.
