Badgley Mischka SS16

Badgley Mischka’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection turned out fabulous opulence, as was expected.  Bejeweled, sparkling gowns flowed as models strut onto the runway in gowns speckled with foil appliqué butterflies, ornately beaded either entirely, or strategically, at the neckline for instance. The first look was a banana yellow tweed jacket and skort paired with a white top, which was followed by abstract pink, yellow, and gray floral print on white dresses. Gray lace was used in the ruffle dress and peasant top and deep-v gown that followed it.  The abstract floral print was made bolder and scaled up on the yellow pleated  sleeveless boatneck dress.  The color palette was white, yellow, and pastel pink and blue, with navy and white flower appliqués.  Gold lamé, what looked like an insane amount of beading, and attention to detail from top to bottom, front to back was made evident as the models turned around.  I just loved the Toni Braxton side cut-out moment.  The styling was on-point, down to the bracelets and bags.  Badly Mischka is synonymous with glamour, and the SS16 fashion show proves they are a force to be reckoned with.
