The Public School Spring/Summer 2016 collection was seemingly comprised of silk pajamas and muddied prints, the majority of which was…eh…nothing to discuss. The looks I did find beautiful were ones which would’ve fit in amidst all the other designers’ collections, the layered sheer looks which are obviously of Asian influence, what with K-Pop likely having brought it to the world.
The palette was composed of black, white, navy, and gray. Robes belted at the natural waist…wow, button-ups, biased-cut minis, the expected Spring stripes, hardly-graphic knits, sleeveless ankle-length dresses with a pop of white (ooh, I’m surprised), a nothing-new athletic inspiration, and that hideous print which looks like it was in “Thriller.” Overall, I felt like it was a safe and lackluster collection. Maybe, maybe, had it been edited down I’d be saying otherwise.
