Noon By Noor’s Spring/Summer 2016 collection: the show started off with a black and white broderie-anglais contrast-sleeved athletic jacket and matching shorts. The palette started off in black and white with short-sleeved dresses, white jumpsuits, and beaded or sequin appliqués; then shifted to pastel pink red and white, with a three-quarter length vest or sleeveless jacket suit, pink dress with gold appliqué down the sides, and pink shorts paired with a white floral print button-up shirt; lilac looks; and finally gold iridescent sheer and silk fabrics with foil appliqués. Down the runway strut a white overall short dress, a blue shirt-dress with pink breast-cancer ribbon embroidery, an embroidered white sleeveless top with beaded appliqué or sequins, and a gorgeous high-low skirt and short-sleeved floor-length jacket. The palette then transitioned to lilac floral prints.
The sleeveless appliquéd lilac dress was beautiful: it was followed by a cream with metallic appliqué fabric used in trench-coats that were double-breasted and belted at the natural waist; we saw this used in separates as well. I loved the look of the iridescent shimmering fabric used in the shirt dress. Satin or silk pants paired with a gorgeous foil appliqué tank top, the fabric of which was also used in a floor-length sleeveless dress. The last look was a gray drop-waist dress with gold appliqué, in which the model walked like Jan Brady: it was a very awkward strut which I am hoping is due to the dress itself or the shoes, but think it was just her given her graceless walk and pose in the finale.
