BCBG Max Azria SS16

The BCBG Max Azria Spring/Summer 16 collection featured Bucket hats, boots with an open toe, three-quarter length vests, shorts, tank tops, knitwear, maxi dresses as could be expected but with long-sleeve shirts underneath, Peasant tops with Bishop sleeves, bold striped paper-bag-waisted pants, gorgeous sheer chiffon dresses with floral pattern ruffle details- it was a breath-taking trip back to the 70’s. A pallet of blue, pink, yellows and greens in muted hues transitioned to brighter saturated vibrant colors of deeper greens, golden rod, and reds, with floral prints galore, tribal embroidery, and tie-dye.

The silhouette was appropriately loose and flowing, layered,  and BoHo-chic.  The asymmetrical pink Moto vest atop the long flowing white layered chiffon dress was beautiful. Flared pants, floor length dresses, shirt dresses, dramatic shoulders, dresses atop pants, and graphic-knits were on-trend, as was the collection. The metallic gold jacket with embroidery on lamé we saw a preview of was gorgeous, and the white raw-silk dress with pyramid-stud-looking silk appliqué was beautiful. The BCBG Max Azria SS16  collection was a fabulous hike up to cloud nine.
