Is it possible that we ignore Rick Owens’ creativity because it’s overshadowed by gimmick fashion?  The shock value marketing aspect, penis collection need I remind you, and this whole sleeveless with the sleeves dangling, but with an upside-down shirt hanging as well… it’s just as confusing to write about.  The Kangaroo shirts, I’ll call them, were cool, along with the silhouettes and layers of the other looks, when edited.  With hindsight, I think I overlooked this collection because of the over-the-top looks, which bring to mind a design student playing with cut, silhouette, proportion…  I am having a flashback to my love hate relationship with Jeremy Scott.  When he did the plastic bags and crosses, I thought he was a genius, then I hated him, then he teamed up with Moschino and now I love him again: edit.
