Gucci lost me at hello. I don’t know what this collection is about: I don’t get it, I don’t like it. Um…there’s a new neighbor, and he’s creeping me out with his ascots and PJ’s. The 70’s, floral prints… the admittedly feminine fabrics still don’t translate into menswear for me. The Gucci Man is a small, eccentric androgynous Winona Ryder looking man, who is also a hippy and a lesbian cowboy, who chases butterflies at sea as he trips on LSD: this is the absurd story I feel the collection told. Perhaps we’re left looking for the cohesion. Maybe if they’d just stuck with the seventies & dropped the lace it would’ve seemed more appropriately edited.

Nicely said! The genderless is becoming more and more obvious.
I love androgyny but, I guess that fine line is where cool crosses weird.
