Dolce & Gabbana Oppose Gay Adoption & IVF

Madonna and other celebrities have spoken up on the matter of the uber gay designers, Dolce & Gabbana, speaking against their target market.

What’s interesting about the CNN interview is while they never specifically apologize for their views, the ex-couple DOES admit better words could’ve been used.

When asked about his feelings on IVF today, Gabbana said:

‘Yeah, I don’t have anything bad, because the beauty of the world is freedom. We love gay couple. We are gay. We love gay couple. We love gay adoption. We love everything. It’s just an express of my private point of view.’

Hmm. It’s difficult to believe Stefano’s sentiment when you consider all of the disparaging views the designer has made about LGBT families over the years.

Dolce was less flexible about his views on the “synthetic” children of LGBT parents, explaining:

‘I believe in the traditional family. It is impossible to change my culture for something different. It’s me…I respect all the world, all the culture. Every people has freedom for choosing what they want. This for me is democracy. I respect you because you choose what you want. I respect me because I choose what I want…This just my point of private view.””

I took a moment to consider how I would feel as a gay parent, or the child of a gay couple, and this is a very hurtful and emotional statement.  I think it is evil to make that child feel less human, or to make people adopting children, doing a beautiful thing, feel attacked and or wrong for showing love to a child in need.

Everyone- get off your high house of PC and religion, air your own dirty laundry and bite your tongue on others’

Of course, it’s just interesting to express it given their orientation and empire’s obvious dependency on the very people they’re offending: gays, women and the people who were adopted or conceived through IVF.
