What with the fabulous, sumptuous fabrics and flawless execution, the Tadashi Shoji Fall 2015 collection was a breath of fresh air reminding us why we tune in to Fashion Week. Black tulle, gorgeous textured fabric on the black short dress, there was an elevated style in each look sent down the runway. Simplicity is underrated.
The sheer peacock dress and silver and black dress that followed it were unique, however, the blue sleeveless took it to a more refined level. The nude and burgundy long sleeve floor length dress, and sleeveless blue dress that followed it were breath taking, reminding me of the sheer dresses Gaultier did years ago in a way. The gold and burgundy sheer dress was beautiful without being granny or seeming over worked. This collection is something we’ll see worn by a range of people from celebrities to possibly royalty with a few of these dresses…hint hint- this is regal Kate. The gowns and dresses in the end truly made a sexy statement without being so slutty and out there as our starlets are- perpetuating the Beyonce “Single Ladies” look. Ladies- line it! We don’t want to see your panties anymore.
